Education Foundation to hold Casino Party

The Coppell Independent School District (CISD) Education Foundation will host its 6th Annual Casino Party and Silent Auction from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Cowboys Golf Club, located on the 1600 block of Fairway Dr. in Grapevine.
Even though the CISD Education Foundation operates independently from CISD, it is still a nonprofit corporation that provides financial support to the district. All of the proceeds raised at the event will be used to fund grants that support all of the schools in CISD.
Guests can try their luck at the gaming tables, shop an array of auction items or even challenge their golfing skills with a putting contest. In addition, special items will be included in a live auction including: a NASCAR stock car driving experience at Texas Motor Speedway, courtside seats at a Dallas Mavericks game and a round of golf for four at Dallas National.
The corporate sponsors for this year's party are: Goldman Sachs, Spencer Air Conditioning and Heating, Walker Sewell LLP, Capstar Commercial Real Estate Services, Cardinal Metals, Inc. and Going Bonkers.
“The casino party is one of the largest events to raise money,” Vlahos said.
According to Nancy Bass, public relations spokesperson for the Education Foundation, the event was originally hosted by Coppell residents in their homes. However, the event has outgrown that venue.
Tickets for the event are $65 per person, including hors d'oeuvres and two beverages and can be purchased online at www.coppellisdef.com or by calling Teressa Taylor at 214-496-6054.
