Former CHS student dies from car crash

An Auburn University student from Coppell passed away two days after a single-car accident in Alabama.
Elizabeth "Libbie" Ainsworth, 20, and her boyfriend, Aurburn senior safety for the football team, Drew Cole, wrecked their car returning from a hunting trip Sunday. Cole was not seriously injured but was taken to East Alabama Medical Center and has since been released, Ainsworth was airlifted to Columbus Regional Medical Center.
According to police, Ainsworth was not wearing her seatbelt and was ejected from the car. While she survived the intial crash, she died at a hospital in Columbus, Ga., on Tuesday due to a traumatic brain injury. She was 2010 graduate of Coppell High who was pursuing a degree in interior design.
