Celina man arrested for terroristic threat against elementary school

The Celina police responded to the Celina Elementary School on Wednesday, Jan. 9, after receiving information about a suspicious circumstance that occurred at 7:50 a.m.

School staff stated that Ron Miller, a resident of Celina and a father of a Celina Elementary School student, had entered the office of the school and conducted his own drill to test the school's response to an active shooter situation. Although Miller did not display a weapon, the statements and actions of Miller were aggressive and created panic and fear among the school's staff.

A warrant was issued for Miller's arrest and he was taken into custody at 9:54 p.m. Wednesday. Miller is charged with Terroristic Threat, a felony in the 3rd degree with a bond set at $75,000.
